SheDreams Africa commemorates 2025 Menstrual Hygiene Day

We had the incredible opportunity to commemorate Menstrual Hygiene Day 2025 with the boys and girls of Tetteh Ocloo State School for the Deaf in Adjei Kojo. The event was a vibrant, interactive, and student-led session that left us deeply inspired.

One of the most heartwarming moments was witnessing young boys confidently discussing menstruation; a true testament to the progress we’re making in breaking taboos and fostering inclusivity. The students led engaging discussions on menstruation and menstrual hygiene management, creating a safe and empowering space for learning and sharing.

The session was facilitated by the School Nurse, the Tema West Girl Child Coordinator, and the dedicated SheDreams Africa Team.

In line with this year’s theme, #TogetherForAPeriodFriendlyWorld, we donated sanitary pads

We are grateful to GES Tema West, the Girl Child Coordinator for Tema West, loved ones who donated towards this project and the entire SheDreams Africa Team and Volunteers.
